The 2025 Grammy Awards have set the stage for an exciting showdown among Nigerian music stars with Burna Boy, Davido, Tems, Yemi Alade, and Wizkid all nominated in the Best African Music Performance category.

Tems leads the Nigerian nominees with three nominations, including her song “Love Me Jeje” in the Best African Music Performance category.

Her album “Born in the Wild” is also nominated for Best Global Music Album.

Burna Boy, with his track “Higher,” continues to assert his presence in the global music scene, having been nominated multiple times in the past.

Davido, in collaboration with Chris Brown and Lojay for “Sensational,” adds an international flavour to the nominations list.

Yemi Alade’s “Tomorrow” and the collaboration between Asake and Wizkid on “MMS” round out the category, each bringing unique sounds and narratives to the forefront.
