The Deputy Governor of Anambra, Nkem Okeke, on Wednesday switched allegiance from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The development is coming days to the November 6 gubernatorial election of Anambra State.

Okeke’s defection was announced during a brief welcoming event which held at the presidential villa on Wednesday.

He was presented to President Muhammadu Buhari by Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni and Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state.
