Barring last minute’s alteration of plans, the governor of Akwa-Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, is expected to announce the dissolution of his cabinet before the end of today, Friday January 10, 2025.

It was gathered that the announcement would be made at a dinner which has been scheduled to take place at the Akwa Ibom State Government Hall later this evening.

According to a source close to the corridors of power in the state, the dinner is organised to make the disengagement honourable for the commissioners and other cabinet members.

“He is set to announce the sack of all his commissioners,” a close source disclosed.

“They are presently holding the State Executive Council (EXCO) Meeting, at which the governor is expected to announce the dissolution of the cabinet,” the source added.
