Immediate past National President of the National Association of Ondo State Students, Olanrewaju Akeredolu has distributed relief materials to party members and Students in Owo local government area of Ondo.

The relief materials include rice, Semolina, wheat flour and other food items.

Akeredolu, who distributed the food items over the weekend, said if the fight against the dreaded coronavirus must be won, it has to be a collective effort and the vulnerable in the society must be assisted to obey the directive of government on social distancing.

According to Akeredolu while addressing party members and students, the incumbent Governor deserves a second term to continue to positively impact the lives of the people.

“In my ward (Igboroko2 ward 3), most of our party members are not civil servants and so when you tell them to stay at home, you would still see them on the street because they would need to eat and that is why I have decided to share these food items to them to further assure them that Arakunrin is a lover of all.

“I know that it is not enough and I am hopeful that other party leaders will still make something available to you later.”

Akeredolu further reteirated the need to obey government’s directives on social distancing so that we can overcome.

“We also need to take the issue of personal hygiene seriously, washing of hands and using of hand sanitizers should be paramount” he said.
