Two leading domestic carriers, Air Peace Airlines and United Nigeria Airlines, have pegged their economy class fares for the 2025 Christmas and New Year season at N350,500 for flights to the Southeast and South-South regions.

The fare applies to trips from Lagos and Abuja to key airports in the Southeast – Owerri, Enugu, Anambra – and the South-South – Port Harcourt and Asaba, respectively.

Return flights from these airports to Lagos or Abuja will also cost N350,500, the airlines added. The rates, already published on the airlines’ official websites, will take effect on different dates for the two carriers.

For Air Peace, the N350,500 fare begins on December 1, 2025, and runs through January 30, 2026. United Nigeria will apply the same rate from December 11, 2025, until the end of the month.

However, United Nigeria’s fares will see a drop after the festive period, with one-way economy tickets from January 1, 2026, on routes such as Abuja-Asaba, Abuja-Anambra, Port Harcourt, and Owerri, being reduced to N150,000.

In contrast, fares to northern destinations during the yuletide are significantly lower. For example, Air Peace charges around N106,900 for Lagos-Kano on most days in December, although the price spikes to N350,500 on a few dates. United Nigeria maintains a relatively flat rate of N220,499 for the same route.

Air Peace does not operate daily flights to Yola, but on days it does, the fare is also set at N350,500.
