The official groups for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) have been officially confirmed following the draw event.

This draw sets the stage for what promises to be a competitive tournament, with Morocco hosting the event from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

Nigeria’s Men’s national team, the Super Eagles, are placed in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.

The new coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Éric Sékou Chelle is expected to leverage his experience to guide Nigeria through the tournament.

Meanwhile, in other groups, Egypt received a challenging draw for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Following their early exit in the last tournament, where they were eliminated in the Round of 16, Egyot will now face formidable opponents right from the outset in Morocco later this year.

In an intense Group B, Egypt will compete against South Africa, who secured a commendable third-place finish in the previous edition, and Angola, a team that suffered a narrow defeat in the quarter-finals. Completing this competitive group is Zimbabwe, adding to the anticipation and stakes of the matches ahead.

Defending champions Ivory Coast and Cameroon will face each other in Group F, where both will be confident of finishing above Gabon and Mozambique.

Below is the full list of the draw:

Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros

Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe

Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania

Group D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana

Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan

Group F: Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique
