Ademola Lookman, Cyriel Dessers Shine as Nigeria Beat Ghana 2-1 In Friendly

Nigeria international and Rangers FC forward, Cyriel Dessers, and Atalanta’s forward, Ademola Lookman, were on target for the Super Eagles of Nigeria following a 2-1 victory over the Black Stars in an international friendly played in Morocco on Friday.

The Super Eagles were first to find the back of the net courtesy of Dessers’ penalty kick in the 38th minute to put Nigeria in the lead.

The team managed to hold on to their one-goal lead after the break as Lookman doubled the lead in the 84th minute to make it 2-0.

Ghana managed to pull a goal back from Jordan Ayew in the 95th minute via a penalty kick to make it 2-1.

Friday’s victory for the Super Eagles over the Black Stars of Ghana would be the first since 2006.

Nigeria will face the Eagles of Mali on Tuesday, March 26, for another friendly match in preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification matches later in the year.
