The National Chairman of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, is currently presiding over a meeting with Senators elected on the platform of the party.

It was gathered that Adamu, who arrived at the National Assembly complex at about 2 pm on Wednesday, was taken to the office of the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, before the commencement of the crucial meeting.

The meeting is currently ongoing at the Senate wing of the National Assembly complex behind closed-door.

The meeting is coming amidst the defection rocking the party. It was gathered that the number of APC senators has dropped to 62 after consistent defection from the party’s lawmakers especially those who were unable to secure return tickets to the chamber.
