- Ex-Gov Udom Emmanuel Congratulates Udo Udoma

Former Minister of Budget and National Planning as well as an erstwhile Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, has received accolades from former governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state, on the former’s 70th birthday.
In his message to Senator Udo Udoma, the former governor recognized the distinguished Nigerian’s life, career and his passion for advancing the cause of humanity.
On his platinum jubilee, the ex-governor described Senator Udo Udoma, a former Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, as an embodiment of great character, and prayed for renewed health and protection, even as the nation continues to benefit from his fountain of knowledge and wisdom.
He said: “My Wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Martha Udom Emmanuel and I join your family, associates, friends and other well- wishers to congratulate you on the occasion of your Birthday today!
“My Distinguished, your life has been one of selfless service, of passionate devotion to doing all that is proper and right to advance the cause of humanity. Above all, you are an embodiment of character, integrity and morality.
“As you turn 70 today, we pray for more good health, grace and Heavenly protection so the Nation may continue to benefit from your fountain of knowledge and wisdom.
“Happy Birthday once again, my Distinguished!”
It would be recalled that Senator Udo Udoma was a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria between November 2015 and May 2019 during the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Prior to his ministerial appointment, Udo Udoma was elected as Senator for Akwa Ibom South in 1999, serving two terms until 2007, has been a very distinguished lawyer with degrees from Oxford. During his tenure as a Senator, he held various leadership positions including Vice-Chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Chairman of the Senate Committee on National Planning and Poverty Alleviation, and Chief Whip of the Senate.
