Prominent Nigerian leaders, including Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and former Senate President Bukola Saraki, joined millions of well-wishers around the world in celebrating the 83rd birthday of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Adeboye, who took to his official X handle on Sunday, expressed his gratitude to God, saying: “Thank You, Jesus, for 83 Years of Great Grace. #EAA83″—a statement that resonated with millions of his followers worldwide.
Abiodun, in a statement released through his Chief Press Secretary, described Pastor Adeboye as a “beacon of hope and a vessel of God’s grace.”
He highlighted the cleric’s immense contributions to humanity through his ministry, which has touched countless lives across Nigeria and beyond.
He stated: “Celebrating Daddy G.O. @ 83! On behalf of the government and good people of Ogun State, I heartily congratulate our revered Father in the Lord, @PastorEAAdeboye. Your unwavering commitment to the service of God and humanity continues to be a source of inspiration to millions across the world.
“Your life of humility, dedication, and deep spirituality has not only strengthened the faith of believers but has also contributed immensely to the moral and socio-economic development of our nation.”
Abiodun further prayed for divine blessings upon Adeboye, wishing him “many more years in sound health, divine wisdom, and peace of mind.”
Similarly, Saraki took to social media to express his admiration for the revered pastor, noting his transformative impact on millions of lives through the RCCG’s global outreach.
In his tribute, Saraki wrote on X: “Happy birthday, Pastor Enoch Adeboye @PastorEAAdeboye. You are indeed a man whom the Almighty has used mightily, through the RCCG, to shape destinies and transform countless lives with your powerful messages of conviction, hope, and love.
“As my family and I join millions of Nigerians worldwide to celebrate you today, we pray that the Almighty continues to uphold you, granting you renewed strength, ever-increasing wisdom, and divine grace in all you do.”
Born on March 2, 1942, in Ifewara, Osun State, Pastor Adeboye has led the RCCG since 1981, growing it from a small Nigerian denomination into a global ministry with a presence in over 190 countries.
