The Super Eagles squad has departed Nigeria for Freetown for their return match against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.
The players and members of the coaching crew embarked on the trip after the release of their negative Covid-19 test results for the second time in four days.
The squad departed the country at about 9:20 am, Monday aboard a flight from Benin City, Edo State to Sierra Leone’s capital city, Freetown.
The AFCON qualifier match against the fellow West African side is now a must-win for the Eagles following their lacklustre performance on Friday in Benin City, which saw them surrendering a four-goal lead to the Serria leonians, sending shockwaves to the football world.
A victory in Freetown will qualify Nigeria for the 2021 AFCON with games to spare.
