  • As Legal Battle Looms

President Donald Trump has accused the Democrats of running a “fraudulent” election with “illegal” votes.

The President said the Dems were trying to “steal” the race to the White House before claiming “if you count the legal votes I easily won.”

Addressing reporters at the White House, Thursday, the Republican leader vowed he would not allow unfounded “corruption to steal such an important election”.

He cited several legal cases around the country, where his campaign has alleged that Republican observers were not allowed to view the counting process.

“There’s going to be a lot of litigation,” he said. “It’s going to end up perhaps at the highest court in the land. We can’t have an election stolen like this.”

Trump had earlier made a series of similar claims on Twitter, where they were flagged for being potentially misleading. One read “STOP THE FRAUD!”

Trump complained about polls that showed him doing substantially worse than his showing in various states on Election Day, which he alleged was designed to suppress turnout among his supporters. Trump called out Quinnipiac University over its poll results, saying it “was wrong on every occasion that I know of,” including predicting Biden would win in Florida and Ohio, states that Trump easily won.

“We won these and many other victories despite historic election interference from Big Media, Big Money and Big Tech,” he said as he continues to see himself as one running against the liberal media, more than his challenger, Biden.

US left wing media like MSNBC, ABC and NBC all cut away from Trump’s briefing after his opening remarks.

CNN carried the briefing, but warned that it would likely contain misinformation.

It came as rival Joe Biden leads by over 3.8 million popular votes.

Biden inches closer to victory following a major boost to his lead in Nevada.

His share in that state’s votes, which have been counted so far, has soared to 12,000 — almost double what it was this morning.

But despite Biden’s gains and Trump’s claims of fraud, the election is still on a knife edge.

The president made gains early this morning in Arizona as two more sets of new votes were published in Maricopa – the state’s biggest county.

And he is vying for the remaining four battleground states which could reverse Biden’s lead in a stroke.

“If you count the legal votes I easily win. If you count the illegal votes, they can try to steal the election from us,” Trump alleges.

The President said he was advocating for a halt in counting of “votes that came in late,” and questioned the race in states that had already been called for Biden.

“I’ve already decisively won many critical states, including massive victories,” he claimed.
