The Deputy President of the Senate, and Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has rejoiced with the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan on his 66th birthday.
In a congratulatory message to the former governor, Senator Omo-Agege while felicitating with the erstwhile governor of Delta State noted that ” Dr Uduaghan’s humble beginning, commitment towards forging peace, humanitarian service and nationalistic disposition are among qualities that have distinguished him as one of the great sons of Delta State.”

Omo-Agege who represents Delta Central at the Upper legislative chambers expressed optimism that many young Nigerians would be further inspired with the story of how the medical doctor-turned-politician surmounted challenges in his life’s journey.
In a press statement released by Yomi Odunuga, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Deputy Senate President, Senator Omo-Agege congratulated Uduaghan on his 66th birthday, wishing him long life and his continuing contribution towards the progress of Delta State and Nigeria.
He said: “I congratulate Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan as he celebrates his 66th birthday. I pray that God grants him long and fulfilling life as he continues to contribute towards the progress of Delta State and our country, Nigeria”.

Born in 1954 in Warri North Local Government Area in Delta State, Uduaghan attended Federal Government College, and the University of Benin where he earned  a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree. He also has  a Diploma in Anaesthesia. He was governor of Delta state between 2007-2015.
