  • Leads With Over 50,000 Votes

Barring any changes or tsunami-like results, candidate of the People’s Democratic (PDP) in the September 19 Edo governorship election, Mr Godwin Godwin Obaseki is on course to be re-elected as Governor as he has established a massive lead over his main challenger, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Official results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) overnight show that Obaseki has won in eight of the 10 local governments announced as of the time of this reporting.

As things stand, Obaseki is currently leading with over 50,000 votes.

Meanwhile, Ize-Iyamu has won in two local government areas.

Results aIre still being expected in eight local government areas.
