The Deputy Governor, is the Governorship candidate of the Zenith Labour Party.

“Being an appointee, this will necessarily conflict with the performance of my duty to you. Hence my resignation.

“I thank your Excellency for the opportunity afforded me to serve the good people of Ondo State as SSA, for the period I was in office”

Recall that Ogunsakin was said to be among the many political appointees whose appointment were influenced by Agboola. According to a reliable source, he would be defecting to the Zenith Labour party tomorrow during the flag-off campaign of its governorship candidate, Agboola in Ore area of the state.

According to political insiders, the race will be a battle among three candidates:
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Party (APC), Mr Eyitsyo Jegede of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Hon Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
