Resident doctors in the country have suspended their industrial action.
President of the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), Aliyu Sokomba, confirmed the development Thursday evening, saying ongoing discussions with the federal government on how to resolve the issues will continue on Friday.
On September 7, the doctors had embarked on the strike to protest government’s inability to meet their demands, including insurance package, payment of the outstanding Covid-19 allowance and the payment of medical residency training fund.
