Non-indigenes resident in Delta State have expressed solidarity and support for the Deputy President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege in a special goodwill message.

The group which comprises of the Igbos, Hausas and Yorubas have declared their unreserved support for the Senator representing Delta Central in the Senate.

The non-indigenes group made this declaration in a resolution arising from their executive meeting held in Effurun, Sund, commended Senator Omo-Agege for his outstanding contributions to the business of lawmaking at the upper chamber of the Senate.

It also expressed appreciation for being the only Senator in Delta State who has demonstrated love for non-indigenes by carrying them along in his relationship
with his constituents, adding that he is the best senator the state has ever produced.

The group’s resolution which
was signed by the State Secretary, Alhaji Maikudi Kwazo, also pledged to throw its weight behind Senator Omo-Agege now and in his future aspirations.

The resolution partly reads: “The Deputy Senate President, Senator Omo-Agege should be commended for his outstanding contributions on the floor of the Senate.

“That Omo-Agege is the only Senator in Delta State that has carried all Deltans, ethnic groups and non-indigenes along.

“All non-indigenes in the state have resolved to rally round the DSP Omo-Agege and support him now and in his future aspirations in the state.

“That Omo-Agege is the best Senator that Delta Central and Delta State has ever had in the history of Senators in the state”, the group said.

“DSP Omo-Agege is the best Deputy President of the Senate that the National Assembly has ever had since its inception.

“A rally will be organized on behalf of DSP Omo-Agege by non-indigenes as part of our support for him.

“The executives of non-indigenes will organise a press conference in this regards for all and sundry to know that we are with him and for him always as we thank him for his support to non-indigenes in the state”.

It would be recalled that a group of top politicians from the Itsekiri nation in the state, had last week, in a goodwill message, commended the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Omo-Agege for his extra-ordinary and incredible disposition towards the Itsekiris, assuring the Senator of their solidarity and optimism to stand by him in fulfilling his dreams.
