Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed how she contracted the deadly coronavirus disease.

The Nollywood star made her revelation through the official Instagram page of the Actor Guild of Nigeria.

The mom of four recently told her fans, followers, and colleagues that she contracted the virus and has been in isolation.

Noting that many know that she is one of the most careful persons, the mother of four stated that she still contracted the disease and it was on a movie set.

In her letter to other actors and actresses, Omotola noted that the doctor treating her said many actors are infected and are now receiving treatment.

She also stated that many actors who have contracted the disease think that it is just malaria, while others who have tested might not come out publicly to talk about it.

The screen goddess pleaded with her colleagues to ensure that they carry out a proper coronavirus test. According to her, actors are the most vulnerable as they can’t use a nose mask at work.

“Well, I got this on a Set. A Movie set. The doctor treating me says many of us are now infected and receiving treatment. Unfortunately, many don’t test and only think they have malaria, and others who test might not come out publicly.

“I plead with us all to test. I’ve only Now found out MAJORITY already have had or have COVID. Testing helps you get properly treated and helps others around you. Dear colleagues, as you know as actors, we are most vulnerable as we can’t wear masks while working.”
