Nigeria recorded 453 new Covid-19 infections on Saturday, raising its tally to 46,140, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said.

The figure marked an increase in number of cases for the third day running after the country saw a drop in new infections earlier in the week.

Abuja topped the leaderboard with 75 new infections as Lagos added 71 fresh covid-19 cases.

According to NCDC’s latest statistics, 33,042 patients have been discharged so far with 942 fatalities recorded.
