With 404 new cases of the dreaded COVID 19 recorded in Nigeria on Wednesday, the number of total infections in the country now stands at 42, 208.New Cases total infections

This was contained in the latest figures released by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) in a late-night tweet via its official Twitter handle.

The specialized agency noted that eight more deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Lagos, the nation’s COVID-19 regional epicenter, recorded 106 new cases followed by Federal Capital Territory, FCT with 54 cases while Rivers recorded 48 cases.

Other states with new cases include Plateau – 40, Edo – 29, Enugu – 20, Oyo – 20, Kano – 18, Ondo – 15.

They were followed by Ogun – 10, Ebonyi – 9, Ekiti – 8, Kaduna – 6, Cross River – 5, Kwara – 4, Anambra and Delta – 3, Imo, and Nasarawa – 2 and Borno – 1.

The total number of infections in the country now stands at 42, 208 with 19,004 patients discharged so far and 873 deaths.
