The Edo governorship primary election of All Progressives Congress (APC) got underway, Monday morning across the 18 local government areas of the state peacefully.
The three aspirants jostling for the APC ticket at the election include: former deputy governor, Dr Pius Odubu; Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, and Mr Osaze Obazee.
However, last week Obazee announced he was stepping down for Ize-Iyamu, asking his supporters to back his bid.
Party officials were seen enforcing the prescribed physical distancing, while members were mandated to wear face coverings across the 192 wards of the 18 LGAs.
