Africa’s most populous city, Lagos on Saturday recorded its lowest number of Covid-19 cases in three weeks, reporting just 66 cases.

It was on May 14 that the state last recorded a daily toll near 66 when it reported 58 infections.

The New Diplomat reported that Lagos may finally be on its way to flatten the curve as number of cases saw record drop in about a week.

Despite increased testing, the state only recorded 102; 121 cases on Thursday and Friday respectively, a departure from the worrisome numbers it reported in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, 389 cases were added to the national tally on Saturday as Abuja recorded an uptick in its Covid-19 cases once again, after racking up 50 cases.

Nigeria now has a total of 12,233 cases. So far it has discharged 3,826 patients from its case load, but 342 patients have been lost to the lethal virus in the country.
