The surge in COVID 19 cases in Nigeria continue on Friday as the country recorded 387 new cases. The new cases were confirmed by the specialist agency, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official handle on Twitter.

This new figure takes the country’s total infections to 9,302, out of which 2697 have been discharged so far with 261 deaths recorded.

Data from the NCDC showed that the cases were spread across 13 states and the FCT, with Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 254 cases.

FCT recorded 29 cases followed by Jigawa 24, Edo 22, Oyo 15, Rivers 14, and Kaduna with 11 cases.

Others were Borno 6, Kano 3, Plateau, Yobe, Gombe and Bauchi had 2 cases each while Ondo recorded 1 case.
