A former Minister of state for Education, Senator Iyabo Anisulowo was on Wednesday kidnapped by unknown gunmen alongside her security aide along Igbogila road in Yewa North local government area of Ogun state.

Iyabo Anisulowo Anisulowo, who was a Senator between 2003 and 2007, represented Ogun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly was reportedly abducted while she was returning from her farm.

The victim reportedly celebrated her 70th birthday, some weeks back in Ilaro, the headquarters of Yewaland and was being rumoured to be nursing ambition of governorship in 2019.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed that she was kidnapped this evening.
