Former federal lawmaker and a frontline chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Napoleon Gbinije, has felicitated with the chairmen of Local Government Areas and ward executives on their successful swearing-in by the Delta State PDP Chairman, Chief Barrister Kingsley Esiso at Asaba.

Honourable Gbinije charged them to work hard to project, promote and protect not only the image of the party at the grassroots level, but also to assist at all times to ensure the victory and success of the party in future elections.

In a press release made available to journalists in Warri recently, the former national lawmaker, specifically congratulated the LG chairmen and ward executives of Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency Chief Efe Uko, Chief Perkins Mukoro and Mr. Efe Okoledo respectively.

While advising them to see their positions as a duty to serve the party and not for their pecuniary interest, he urged them to work with leaders, elders and other  stakeholders of the party in their various LGAs and Wards in order to carry everybody along, rather than creating disunity which will not be in the interest of the party.

He said: “First, I want to congratulate our newly sworn-in, LGA chairmen and ward  executives on their victories at the elections and successful swearing-in by our State Chairman.

“However, I want to advise them to carry all party stakeholders in their various LGAs and Wards along and eschew anything that will be detrimental to the interest of our great party.”

Hon. Gbinije expressed confidence in the calibre of persons sworn in to man the affairs of the party at the grassroots level, expressing optimism that they will assist the State chairman to reposition the party for more effective control and to ensure its continuous lead as the major political party in the State ahead and beyond the 2023 General Elections.

It would be recalled that Hon. Napoleon Gbinije represented the people of Okpe Sapele Uvwie Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives Abuja from 2003 to 2007.
