President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, today defeated the Peoples Democratic Party, presidential candidate of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in Ward 8, unit 5 where Olorogun O’tega Emerhor the leader of mainstream Delta APC voted in Evwreni, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to the result announced by the INEC Returning Officer of the unit, Buhari of the APC polled 276 votes to defeat Atiku of PDP who scored 13 votes

Speaking earlier after casting his vote at Evwreni, unit5, ward 8, at about 11:15am, Emerhor said: “Everybody is excited because we have the opportunity now, to elect the President and National Assembly members of our choice.

Based on some logistics relating to transportation, they started late, but I think they will extend the time, so that everybody can vote, am also a bit concerned about the time allocated to each person to vote, I hope the machine will pick up so it would be faster.

“I encourage my unit, ward and local Government and the State at large to be patient because this is important and will also give directions to the country.
