The 12 boys and man trapped in a Thai cave have all been rescued, according  to Reuters and Australian ABC radio. The twelfth boy was assisted from the cave by two divers around midday London time July 10, and his coach brought to safety about 45 minutes later.

The boys all belong to a football team called the Wild Boars. Their coach, Ekkapol Chantawong, had taken them to the cave in northern Thailand on an excursion on June 23. But rising floodwaters after monsoonal rains trapped them.

An international rescue effort spearheaded by the Thai military has been taking place since.

ABC Newsradio said the last person to leave the cave ledge would be Australian  doctor and cave diver Richard Harris.
