No Portfolios For Some Ministers, Buhari Insists, As Saraki Submits Names Of Approved Nominees

President Mohammadu Buhari Tuesday reiterated his earlier position that not all ministers would be assigned portfolios.

The President spoke when Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki presented the names of approved nominees to him at the Presidential villa, after a successful screening and confirmation of all 36 nominees by the senate.

President Buhari said that he had pruned the number of ministries adding that though the constitution stipulated 36 ministers, the available ministries were not that number.

The President is yet to assign ministries to the nominees.
