The Nigerian Army, Thursday placed a N3 million cash reward for information on Boko Haram terrorists leader, Abubakar Shekau.

According to a statement issued by the Director of Army Public Relations Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, the N3 Million cash reward is for any credible information that can lead to the arrest of Shekau. “The Nigerian Army will give out Three Million Naira (N3, 000,000.00k) cash reward for any credible information that leads to the arrest of Abubakar Shekau, the fugitive factional Boko Haram terrorists’ group leader,” Usman said.

The Army spokesman added that anybody with such credible information can either contact the Military Command and Control Centre, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, any military location, security agencies or call the Nigerian Army Information and Call Centre 193.

The Nigerian Army had Tuesday this week said credible information from arrested and surrendered insurgents indicated that Shekau has abandoned his followers and he is now disguising as a woman dressed in Hijab and desperately trying to escape from the theatre. It also said now Shekau alternates between blue and black coloured Hijabs to avoid detection.
