Kemi Badenoch, leader of the United Kingdom’s Conservative Party, has announced a sweeping immigration crackdown that would see 150,000 illegal migrants deported each year, branding it the toughest border reforms in British history.

In a video statement posted on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, Badenoch outlined what she called the “Radical Borders Plan,” including the creation of a new Removals Force modelled after the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“My message is clear: if you’re here illegally, you will be detained and deported,” she declared. “Our new Removals Force, modelled on US ICE, will deport 150,000 illegal migrants each year.”

Positioning herself as the uncompromising voice on immigration, Badenoch criticised both Conservative and Labour governments for years of failure.

“Labour promised to smash the gangs. Instead, in just a year, they delivered record small boat crossings, over 50,000 illegal arrivals, 32,000 people in asylum hotels, billions wasted. It’s pure weakness,” she said.

Under her plan: Asylum claims from illegal entrants will be banned; The Human Rights Act will be repealed; Britain will withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR); All illegal arrivals will be deported within a week, and visa sanctions will target countries refusing to repatriate nationals.

Badenoch also pledged to dismantle what she called the “asylum hotel racket,” insisting the reforms would save taxpayers billions while restoring public confidence in Britain’s borders.

“Only the Conservatives have a serious, credible plan to deliver stronger borders. If you come here illegally, you will be deported,” she concluded.
