In an entertaining Premier League Matchweek 7, Arsenal reclaimed the top spot with a 2-0 victory against London rivals West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium.
Meanwhile, Manchester United delivered a 2-0 home triumph over Sunderland, providing manager Ruben Amorim with a reprieve amid mounting scrutiny.
The New Diplomat reports that Arsenal’s ascent to the summit of the Premier League table came after goals from Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka secured them a win over West Ham.
The Emirates faithful erupted early when Rice, returning to face his boyhood club, unleashed a thunderous long-range strike in the 28th minute, curling the ball into the top corner beyond Alphonse Areola’s despairing dive.

This victory catapulted Arsenal to 16 points from seven games, going above Liverpool and Manchester City.
Manchester United, on the other hand, eased the mounting pressure on Ruben Amorim with a 2-0 win over Sunderland, their first league clean sheet since August.
Mount eased the home fans’ tension with a fine finish from Bryan Mbeumo’s cross in eight minutes.
Benjamin Sesko doubled the Red Devils’ advantage with a predatory finish from a long throw-in for his first Old Trafford goal since a £74 million move from RB Leipzig.
This means Manchester United secured all three points on Saturday.
The New Diplomat also reports that Tottenham ended Leeds’ year-long unbeaten league run at Elland Road with a 2-1 victory.
Mohammed Kudus’ first goal for Spurs secured all three points after Noah Okafor canceled out Mathys Tel’s opener for the visitors.
