Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has officially unveiled his 23-man squad for the decisive qualifiers against Lesotho and the Benin Republic.
The Super Eagles, currently in a precarious position in Group C, face Lesotho on October 10 before facing the Benin Republic four days later.
Announcing the squad to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup, Chelle handed Sevilla striker Akor Adams his first national call-up.
Captain William Troost-Ekong also made the 23-man squad list while Semi Ajayi, Terem Moffi, Alhassan Yusuf, and Olakunle Olusegun all return after spells away from the national side.
Stanley Nwabali retains his place as first-choice goalkeeper, supported by Amas Obasogie and Adebayo Adeleye.
In midfield, Chelle called up Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, and Alhassan Yusuf.
Nigeria’s forward line is led by Victor Osimhen and also features Ademola Lookman, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze, Terem Moffi, Cyriel Dessers, Tolu Arokodare, the returning Olakunle Olusegun, and debutant Adams.
