President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signed four tax reform bills recently passed by the National Assembly into law.

Tinubu assented to the four bills during a short ceremony at the Presidential Villa on Thursday.

The ceremony was attended by the leadership of the National Assembly, including the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and some legislators, governors, ministers, and aides of the President.

The four bills are: the Nigeria Tax Bill, the Nigeria Tax Administration Bill, the Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Bill, and the Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Bill. They were passed recently by the National Assembly after consultations with various interest groups and stakeholders.

The President, in a short speech during the ceremony, said the new tax laws will significantly transform tax administration in the country, leading to increased revenue generation, improved business environment, and a boost in domestic and foreign investments.
