President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday visited the survivors of the brutal Yelewata attacks which left communities reeling with over 200 lives lost.

The President visited the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) after landing in Benue State earlier on Wednesday.

The President’s visit followed an attack on the Yelewata community in the Guma Local Government Area of the state last week.

The New Diplomat gathered that from the hospital, Tinubu proceeded to the Benue State Government House, where he had a town hall meeting with the people of the state.

The town hall meeting was attended by political heavyweights, traditional rulers, security chiefs, and civil society leaders, and the discussions were aimed at dismantling the cycle of violence in Benue State.
