The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday, claimed that President Bola Tinubu has killed his opponents’ planned move to wrest the reins of power from him in 2027 with his good works.

Wike stated that the planned coalition is “bound to fail”.

The Minister spoke during the inauguration of Arterial Road N16 to Arterial Road N20 and other roads in the Katampe District.

He also thanked Tinubu for granting 10 days for project commissioning in the FCT.

“Your good work has killed the coalition. I was thinking that truly, there would be a coalition. The coalition is bound to fail, and it has failed,” he said.

Recall that former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, former governor of Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai, the Labour Party presidential candidate in 2023, Peter Obi among other prominent politicans are planning to join forces together to unseat Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

While the politicians have not announced the political platform they will use to launch their opposition against Tinubu, they have boasted about having the clout and capacity to thwart the president’s reelection bid.
