The Sole Administrator for River State, Vice Admiral Ibok-ete Ibas (retd.), has arrived in the state, officially resuming duties.

It was gathered that Ibas reportedly touched down at Port Harcourt International Airport at about 11:25 am on Thursday and was received by top officials and security personnel.

He arrived in the state after he was sworn in as the Sole Administrator of Rivers State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa.

He was accompanied by the state Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju and the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16.

Following his arrival in the state, it was gathered that Ibas immediately proceeded to Government House, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

He is currently in a closed-door meeting with senior security officers, the Federal Government delegation and some state government officials.
