Pictures have emerged as President Bola Tinubu is currently attending the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, alongside other African leaders.
The summit, which began on February 14 and will conclude on February 18, 2025, focuses on critical continental issues under the theme “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent Through Reparations.”
During the summit, Tinubu is expected to deliver a speech at the AU Peace and Security Council meeting, where discussions will centre on pressing security challenges, including the escalating conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He is also participating in high-level meetings on health financing, the establishment of an Africa Credit Rating Agency, and climate change initiatives.
Tinubu arrived in Addis Ababa on Thursday night, February 13, 2025, and was received by Ethiopian Deputy Chief of Protocol Eshetu Legesse, Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar, and Ambassador Nasir Aminu, the charge d’affaires of the Nigerian embassy in Ethiopia.
The President is scheduled to return to Abuja on Monday, February 17, 2025, after the summit concludes.
