United States President-elect Donald Trump has arrived in Washington, D.C., ahead of his second inauguration scheduled for Monday, January 20, 2025.

His arrival marks the beginning of a series of events and celebrations leading up to his official swearing-in.

Trump came with his wife Melania and other family members, landing at Dulles International Airport.

He then headed to a private event at his golf club in Virginia, which included a fireworks display.

The festivities are part of a transition of power, with Trump planning to sign numerous executive orders shortly after his inauguration, potentially reversing policies from the previous administration.

The New Diplomat reports that Trump is actively gearing up for his swearing-in as the 47th President of the United States.

The ceremony will take place at the West Front of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C.

Trump will be sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts of the US Supreme Court.

This comes after Trump won the presidential election of 2024.Trump secured 312 electoral votes, comfortably surpassing the 270 needed to win the presidency.

He won the popular vote with approximately 49.7% of the vote, defeating outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris.
