- Introduces E-Visa

The Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja has issued a significant announcement regarding the processing of visa applications.
Effective January 1, 2025, the Embassy said it will discontinue the acceptance of physical applications submitted in person.
Consequently, all applicants are required to submit their visa applications exclusively through the official online platform, accessible at www.thaievisa.go.th.
Passport holders from the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Republic of Benin, Republic of Cameroon, Republic of Ghana, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Democratic Republic of São Tomé and PrÃncipe, and Republic of Chad, who are residents of these countries, can apply for an e-visa through the embassy.
This was contained in a notice issued by the embassy.
The notice reads in part: “Upon approval, applicants will receive a confirmation email. A printed copy of this email must be presented to the airline at the port of departure and to Thai immigration officials upon arrival in Thailand.
“The visa fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome.”
Applicants are reminded that providing false documents or information will result in immediate rejection of their application and may lead to further action.
