Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi is once again engulfed in grief following the tragic loss of his eldest son, Abdulwahab, who died in a devastating motor accident on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

The tragic development comes just a day after the governor mourned the passing of his mother, Maryam Namadi, who died on Wednesday after a brief illness.

According to reports, Abdulwahab was involved in a serious motor accident while making his way back from Kafin Hausa to Dutse, accompanied by his friends and associates.

It was gathered that as they drove along the winding road, the vehicle unexpectedly lost control, tumbling and somersaulting before crashing to a halt.

In the aftermath of the incident, several of his friends sustained injuries and are now receiving medical treatment at Dutse General Hospital, according to reports.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Hamisu Gumel has also confirmed the incident in a statement.

He said: “With a heavy heart, Governor Umar Namadi announces the passing of his beloved son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi.

“The 24-year-old departed this world on Thursday, December 26, 2024, due to a ghastly motor accident along the Dutse-Kafin-Hausa Road.
