Some residents of Okija community in Anambra have reportedly lost their lives in a stampede.

According to reports, this followed a stampede which occurred on Saturday morning during an event organised to distribute rice and other foodstuffs to the underprivileged for Christmas celebration.

This is coming three days after the children’s carnival that turned into catastrophe in Ibadan. The stampede in Ibadan led to the death of over forty children.
