President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos State for the Christmas and New Year holidays.
The New Diplomat reports that the President was received at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State along with the deputy governor, Obafemi Hamzat, and other Lagos state government cabinet members.
This visit coincides with the festive season, providing an opportunity for Tinubu to spend time with family and join the Christian faithful in celebrating Christmas.
The visit also comes hours after the President presented the 2025 Appropriation bill before a joint session of the National Assembly.
Tinubu had presented the 2025 budget, titled the “Resurrection Budget”, before a joint session of the National Assembly.
The proposed budget has a total expenditure of ₦47.9 trillion. This budget is an increase of 36.8% from the 2024 estimate.
