Ghanaian President-elect John Dramani Mahama visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, State House, Abuja.
This visit follows Mahama’s victory in the December 7, 2024, general election in Ghana.
It was gathered that during the meeting the two leaders discussed diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Ghana. It was also learnt that both leaders expressed their commitments to work towards strengthening bilateral ties across various sectors.
It would be recalled that Tinubu had congratulated Mahama over a telephone call shortly after his opponent and closest rival, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded defeat.
Tinubu, during the call, had expressed hope that Mahama’s return to power would enhance stability within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the presidency revealed.
