For the second time in days, the President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced the nomination of one of his family members into key positions in his incoming administration.

This is as Trump nominated Massad Boulos to serve as his senior adviser on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs.

The New Diplomat reports that Boulous is the father-in-law of the president-elect’s daughter Tiffany and was heavily involved in campaigning for Trump in Muslim-American communities in battleground states.

This comes after Trump nominated Charles Kushner to serve as the next US ambassador to France.

Kushner is the father of Jared Kushner, who is married to Trump’s daughter Ivanka.

Speaking on the nomination of Massad, Trump said he is “a highly respected leader in the business world, with extensive experience on the International scene.”

Trump added: “Massad is a dealmaker and an unwavering supporter of PEACE in the Middle East. He will be a strong advocate for the United States, and its interests, and I am pleased to have him on our team!

“Massad is an accomplished lawyer and a highly respected leader in the business world, with extensive experience on the International scene.

“He has been a longtime proponent of Republican and Conservative values, an asset to my Campaign, and was instrumental in building tremendous new coalitions with the Arab American Community.”

Massad is expected to take over a difficult portfolio, with Israel’s war still raging in Gaza. Though there is a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

But some envision early violations, and rebel forces in Syria making advances against the government of Bashar al-Assad.
