President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after his trip to Brazil, where he participated in the G20 Leaders’ Summit.
The New Diplomat reports that the president arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja in the late hours of Saturday.
Tinubu was warmly welcomed by top government officials including the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje.
It would be recalled that Tinubu jetted out of Nigeria for Brazil on November 17, 2024.
Tinubu participated in the G-20 summit which was held from Monday, November 18, to Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
The G20 summit, hosted by the Brazilian President Lula da Silva focused on the theme, “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet.”
During the summit, Tinubu met with President Joe Biden of the United States, Brazilian President Lula da Silva, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, among other world leaders at Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
A high-level delegation, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar; the Minister of Livestock Development; and the Minister of Arts, Tourism, Culture, and Creativity, accompanied Tinubu to the summit.
The G20 is made up of 19 member countries, including Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, TĂĽrkiye, the UK, the US, along with the European Union.
