The President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, has continued to announce the formation of his cabinet ahead of his inauguration as the 47th president of the United States.

Trump, on Monday, announced that he has chosen Sean Duffy, a former Wisconsin Representative who also hosted shows on Fox Business News, to be his transport secretary.

He expressed the conviction that his decision to appoint Duffy as the transport secretary was rooted in a strong conviction about Duffy’s potential capacity to steer the direction of the transportation sector in a promising way.

“I’m eager to help you usher in a new golden age of transportation,” Duffy wrote on social media.

If Duffy receives approval for the position, he is expected to take on the significant responsibility of overseeing a vast department dedicated to all forms of transportation.
This includes everything from commercial aeroplanes and personal vehicles to trains and public buses.

With a staggering budget of approximately £110 billion at his disposal, he is expected to play a crucial role in managing funds derived from President Joe Biden’s infrastructure plan launched in 2021.

Trump also added that Duffy will prioritize “Excellence, Competence, Competitiveness and Beauty when rebuilding America’s highways, tunnels, bridges and airports. He will ensure our ports and dams serve our Economy without compromising our National Security.”

Duffy, born October 3, 1971, is an American politician, prosecutor, former sports commentator, and reality television personality who is currently a co-host of The Bottom Line on Fox Business, as well as a contributor on Fox News.

He is a member of the Republican Party, and he served as the U.S. representative for Wisconsin’s 7th congressional district from 2011 to 2019.
