Following Donald Trump’s emergence as the 47th President-elect of the United States after defeating Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, many are beginning to ask more questions about his family as well as his business.
He is set to be inaugurated as the president of the United States in January 2025. Here are things to know about Trump’s family life;
Wives
1). Ivana Trump
Ivana Marie Trump (nĂ©e ZelnĂÄŤková), the first wife of Donald Trump, was born on February 20, 1949, in ZlĂn, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). She was a fashion model and businesswoman who became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1988. They were married from 1977 until 1990. Ivana Trump died at her home in New York City at age 73 on July 14, 2022.
2). Marla Maples
Marla Ann Maples, the second wife of Donald Trump, was born on October 27, 1963, in Cohutta, Georgia. She was an actress, television personality, model, singer and presenter. They married in December 1993, two months after the birth of their daughter Tiffany, separated in 1997 and divorced in 1999.
3). Melania Trump
Melania Trump (née Knavs), the third and current wife of Donald Trump, was born on April 26, 1970, in Novo Mesto, Yugoslavia (present-day Slovenia). She had a lengthy modelling career and is the second foreign-born first lady of the United States, the first being Louisa Adams. They got married in 2005. Melania became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2006.
Children
Trump has five children from three marriages: Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump with Ivana Trump; Tiffany Trump with Marla Maples; and Barron Trump with Melania Trump.
1). Donald Trump Jr.
Donald John Trump Jr. was born on December 31, 1977. He is an American businessman. He is the eldest child of Trump and his first wife, Ivana Trump.
He was educated at Buckley School and The Hill School, a college preparatory boarding school in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, followed by the University of Pennsylvania’s (Penn) Wharton School, where he graduated in 2000 with a B.S. in Economics.
He serves as a trustee and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, running the company alongside his younger brother Eric.
2). Ivana Marie Trump
Ivana Marie Trump was born on October 30, 1981, in Manhattan, New York City, as the second child of Trump and his first wife, Czech-American model Ivana.
She attended Christ Church and the Chapin School in Manhattan until the age of 15 when she switched to Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut.
After graduating from Choate in 2000, Ivana attended Georgetown University for two years before transferring to the University of Pennsylvania, from which she graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2004. She was the first Jewish member of a first family, having converted before marrying her husband, Jared Kushner, in 2009.
She was a senior advisor in her father’s administration (2017–2021), and also the director of the Office of Economic Initiatives/Entrepreneurship.
3). Eric Frederick Trump
Eric Frederick Trump was born on January 6, 1984. He is an American businessman, activist, and former reality television presenter. Eric Trump was born in New York City and attended Trinity School. His parents divorced in 1990 when he was six years old.
In 2002, he graduated from the Hill School. He later graduated with a degree in finance and management from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
4). Tiffany Trump
Tiffany Ariana Trump was born on October 13, 1993. She is Donald Trump’s only child with Marla Maples. In 2016, she participated minimally in her father’s campaign because she was studying sociology and urban studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Shortly after graduating, she made a supportive speech for her father at the Republican National Convention at age 22. She was awarded a J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. in May 2020.
5). Barron William Trump
Barron William Trump was on born March 20, 2006. He is Trump’s youngest child and his only child with Melania Trump. He attended the Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School in Manhattan. In addition to English, Barron is fluent in Slovene.
When his father took office as president in 2017, Barron and his mother remained in Manhattan to finish out the school year. In June, he and Melania moved to the White House and he enrolled in St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, a private co-ed school in Potomac, Maryland. When his father left the White House and moved to Florida in 2021, he again finished out the school year, then went to Florida and enrolled in Oxbridge Academy, a private college-preparatory high school in West Palm Beach, Florida, graduating in 2024. According to his father, Barron plans to attend college at the New York University Stern School of Business.
