President of the United States, Joe Biden and US President-elect Donald Trump met on Wednesday at the White House.
The meeting came after Trump won the 2024 presidential election of the US, defeating Vice President Kamala Harris.
Below are five subject matters the two political leaders discussed;
1) Biden congratulated Trump on winning the election, welcoming him back to the White House.
2). Biden also promised to ensure “a smooth transition and do everything he can to ensure Trump gets what he needs. “We’re going to get a chance to talk about some of that today,” he added.
3). Trump appreciated Biden for his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition process.
4). Biden and Trump also discussed top issues – both domestic and foreign policy issues – including what is happening in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, ahead of the president-elect’s inauguration on January 20.
5). Biden, during the meeting, explained his opinion on issues bordering on governance and economy.
