Vice President Yemi Osinbajo last Saturday inspected exhibition stands of entrepreneurs at Ibom hall, Uyo,  Akwa Ibom state capital.

The Vice President who was at the exhibition on the occasion of the state’s 30th anniversary of creation expressed deep satisfaction at the enterprise development in the state.

The VP examined micro, small and medium craftsmen and manufacturers stand with notable dignitaries as Minister of Economic Development, Sen. Udo Udoma, Sen. Akpabio, Gov. Udom Emmanuel, Hon. Onofiok Luke, Commissioner for Investment, commerce and industry among others.

Hundreds of entrepreneurs had attended the two day clinic organized by office of the Vice President in association with State Ministry of investment, Commerce and Industry. Despite the heavy downpour and delay, many entrepreneurs waited till about 7pm to receive the Vice President at Ibom Hall ground. Prof Osinbajo obviously was engaged in commissioning of Syringe and Metering factory as well as General Hospital at Etinan to mark Akwa Ibom state at 30.

Mr Tola Johnson, coordinator of the clinic told The New Diplomat that the essence of the clinic was to present members of MSMEs with opportunity to overcome bureaucratic bottle necks to solve their problems through federal agencies providing such help.

Some members of the MSMEs got financial loan with lightening speed as never recorded through participation at the clinic.

Mr Bosco S. representative of Noval Investment Limited, a rubber and plastic manufacturers including tricycle/mini bus shaft hose said though the exhibition was worth attending it needed better planning, space allocation and protocol arrangements.

Meanwhile, investors, financial agents and intending customers had wonderful interactive opportunity at the clinic.

The Vice President who was physically excited about the passion of exhibitors departed with entourage to attend state banquet for Akwa Ibom state 30th anniversary.
