The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and the Port Harcourt International Airport in Nigeria have received prestigious recognition from the Airport Council International for their exceptional dedication to airport emergency management and resilience.
The awards were presented by the ACI Africa Secretary-General, Ali Tounsi, and the President of ACI Africa, Emmanuel Chaves, respectively.
This was made known in a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo,
Mr Tunde Moshood.
Moshood said the two airports received the awards at the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The statement reads in part: “These prestigious awards are a testament to the unwavering commitment and hard work of everyone involved in ensuring excellence in airport emergency management and resilience, especially the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo.
“Nigeria’s aviation sector can take pride in this achievement, which underscores the dedication to providing secure and efficient travel experiences.”
